Job Description

We are seeking Project Manger candidates to be an integral part of projects located in SE Michigan.  As a member of the project leadership team, the Project Manager will be responsible for key tasks associated with project management for multiple projects occurring simultaneously.  This is an exceptional opportunity for the right individual to be an integral part and advance their career with a highly reputable and well established company in the underground and road construction business.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attend pre-bid meetings, contact subcontractors, perform quantity take-offs, and prepare scope of work documents in support of the company’s project estimating efforts
  • Review, coordinate, and track submittals and shop drawings
  • Obtain, review, and distribute as-built documents
  • Review plans and identify solutions to design issues
  • Obtain, track, and record daily reports from field staff
  • Maintain construction drawings, process RFI’s, and track change orders
  • Process, summarize and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations
  • Answer questions, address concerns, and resolve conflicts with engineers and owners
  • Manage subcontractors
  • Coordinate material deliveries
  • Create and monitor project schedules
  • Monitor field construction to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications
  • Attend pre-construction and progress meetings
  • Complete project close-out requirements


  • Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • Minimum of five or more years of project experience in the engineering or construction industry
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills with a focus on detail
  • Ability to read and understand project plans and specifications
  • Technologically competent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Effective problems solving and decision-making ability
  • Integrity, tenacity and demonstrate the attitude and ability to succeed personally and for the company
